• We collect organics, recycle and garbage from 5,500 homes in Powell River, and every day someone forgets to take out the trash.

• Residential garbage and recycling collection accounted for $634,506 in the 2021 city budget.

• There is a right way and a wrong way to put your waste out for collection.

• From February 20, 2024 every registered household in Powell River received a 120L green cart for organics disposal.

• City-wide, weekly organics collections will start on March 18, 2024.

• collection calendars and reminders

• a help tool for reporting missed collection or other waste management service concerns

• a feature for service disruption alerts due to weather and other unexpected events, special notifications

• the Waste Wizard sorting tool, providing users with answers about disposal and recycling.
