To develop systems, policies and procedures that will assist all departments in managing their areas of responsibility and will ensure the fiscal responsibility and integrity of the City in both the short and long term.
To provide exemplary service and to efficiently deliver timely and reliable financial information to our customers, citizens, organizational departments, and Council.
Specific functions include the preparation and monitoring of the operational and capital budget, levying of municipal taxes, cashiering and accounting functions, safeguarding of the City’s financial assets, internal controls, development and maintenance of information systems, financial reporting including the five-year financial plan, financial statements and the annual report.
