Powell River Fire Rescue has an extensive array of firefighting equipment, featuring four engines, one ladder truck, and several light vehicles for fighting a variety of fires, and for being responsive to emergencies. To see the Powell River Fire Rescue’s apparatus on our website.

FIRE HALL STATIONS

The department has two fire stations. The main station, #1 Fire Hall at 6965 Courtenay Street, is the primary administration office and is manned 24 hours/seven days a week by career firefighters.

The #2 Fire Hall at 6459 Sutherland Avenue provides supplemental coverage for the Wildwood area with paid-on-call fire fighters responding from Wildwood and career members responding from the #1 Fire Hall.

Manufactured 2014.

Only apparatus staffed 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week by 2 or 3 or 4 rescue personnel allowing for an immediate response.

First responding apparatus for fires, alarms, vehicle crashes, hazardous materials incidents, medical first responders, technical rescues and investigations.

Waterous CSU single stage pump, 500 Imperial Gallon Tank Capacity.

Smeal body, Spartan Metro Star ELFD custom Chassis, Cummins ISL9 – 450 hp Engine, Allison EVS 3000 Transmission.

Equipped for firefighting, hazardous materials incidents, and medical emergencies.
