The City’s main boat launch is situated in the North Harbour in Westview, providing Powell River’s primary salt water access. There is pay parking adjacent to the boat launch, as well as an electric vehicle charging station.

The second salt water boat launch is located at Gibsons Beach, in the most northerly reaches of the City boundaries.

Powell Lake has two boat launches. One is at Mowat Bay, in Cranberry, adjoining the park area. Pay parking is available at the site, as well as washroom facilities.

Powell Lake's other boat launch is situated adjacent to the Shinglemill Pub and Bistro, just across the Wildwood bridge. Pay parking is available at the Shinglemill for vehicles and trailers.
