The City’s main boat launch is situated in the North Boat Harbour in Westview, providing Powell River’s primary salt water access. There is pay parking adjacent to the boat launch, as well as an electric vehicle charging station.

The second salt water boat launch in the City is located at Gibsons Beach, in the most northerly reaches of the City boundaries.

Powell Lake provides two boat launches. One is at Mowat Bay, in Cranberry, adjoining the park area. There is parking available at the site, as well as washroom facilities.

Powell Lakes other boat launch is situated adjacent to the Shinglemill Pub and Bistro, just across the Wildwood bridge. There is also parking available at the Shinglemill launch for vehicles and trailers.
