BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is operated by the Province of BC. The PNP is a way for high-demand foreign workers and experienced entrepreneurs to gain permanent residency in British Columbia. The City of Powell River is participating in the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Stream Program.
Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Stream
The Province of BC confirmed the Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot Program that began on March 14, 2019 will be continuing as part of an expanded BC PNP regional initiative as the new 'Regional Stream'. The City of Powell River is an eligible community and continues to participate in this program.

Applications for eligible new business start-ups for Powell River are prioritized for the following sectors:
• 512 - Motion picture and sound recording industries
• 5415 - Computer systems design and related services
• 48819 - Other support activities for air transportation
• 54169 - Other scientific and technical consulting services
