Information Technology (IT) Specialist (Exempt)
Do you have extensive IT expertise? The City of Powell River is offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Specialist to join our growing organization. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and assist with leading our IT Team with your passion for technology.

As the IT Specialist you will assist with the planning and implementation of operational initiatives. You should possess strong communication skills, efficiency, thoroughness, initiative, and the ability to build relationships that contribute to team cohesion and collaboration.

Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology you will be an integral member of the IT team. You will work collaboratively with a team that fosters high performance and continuous improvement. You bring excellent problem-solving skills, ability to remain calm in stressful situations, and effective management of complex tasks under tight deadlines. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and customizing our systems. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting issues and providing technical support to internal users.

As the ideal candidate you will have a post-secondary course of study in a technology related field or a minimum of five years’ experience. Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered.

RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance is essential to this position.
