Ways to Pay Your Taxes

The City of Powell River offers you several ways to pay your 2019 property taxes:

1. In person at City Hall – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday (excluding Statutory Holidays).

2. In person at your bank – DO NOT claim the home owner grant at your financial institution.

3. By mail – City of Powell River, 6910 Duncan St, Powell River, BC; V8A 1V4. Payment MUST be received at City Hall by the due date regardless of the mailing date.

4. Online banking – avoid the long lines at City Hall leading up to the property tax due date by paying online through your bank. Set up the City of Powell River Property Tax as a payee (exact wording varies between financial institutions) and enter your folio number (RBC requires 12 digits, so add 0’s in front of folio number). If eligible, the home owner grant can be claimed online by clicking the eHOG link at the Payments Page. You will need your FOLIO NUMBER and ACCESS CODE.

5. By Mastercard - You can pay your property taxes with your credit card (Mastercard only) through the Paytm Canada app:
   
   - Download the Paytm Canada app and set it up as needed
   - Choose "City of Powell River" as the biller or payee
   - Enter the roll number from your property tax notice
   - Enter the total amount to pay and submit

   Note: Payments done through the Paytm Canada app take up to 5 business days to process. Be sure to make your property tax payment in time for us to receive it no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

6. After hours – cheques can be placed in the drop box at the front entrance to City Hall (left side).
