I was born in Trail BC, and I went to school there, then in Nelson and eventually graduated from Kamloops High School. I attended BCIT and studied chemistry and metallurgy. After working in forestry and retail, I went to work for BC Tel in 1972 and lived in Kamloops, Cache Creek, Port Alberni, and Chase and worked all over B.C. Beginning in 1997, I was a full time elected Business Agent and Executive Council member of the Telecommunication Workers Union while living in Kelowna. The last six years of my career before retirement in 2013 I served as National President in Burnaby.

As president I served as a trustee of the Telecommunication Workers Pension Plan and was a Board Member for Concert Real Estate Corporation and Concert Properties Ltd. IN COMMUNITY LIFE

I moved to Powell River in 2014 after my retirement to be close to extended family. I am married and happy that some of my spouse’s family live here as well as one of my sons and his family. Together we have five children and five grandchildren who live as close as Lund, and as far away as Switzerland.

I love the Powell River lifestyle and I am excited to have the opportunity to help make it an even better place to be.
