The City of Powell River invites applications from interested individuals to serve as volunteer Emergency Services Facility Advisory Committee members.
The Committee’s role is to consider current and future emergency response needs of the City and the health and safety of its emergency personnel.
The Committee is tasked with:
Reviewing the technical assessments that have established the need for a new emergency services facility and site location
Providing advice to Council on concept designs for the new facility
Making recommendations on funding strategies and approval process for the project
Identifying potential future community benefits
Coordinating opportunities to provide the public with information and gather feedback
The Committee will be made up of one city council member and eight residents and/or property owners from the City of Powell River.
To serve on the Emergency Services Facility Advisory Committee, interested individuals are invited to apply online (scroll down for online form), or download the application and drop it off at City Hall, send by mail or by email to:
