Disc golf is taking flight in Powell River.
Neil Pukesh, City of Powell River’s Manager of Recreation, said plans are in motion to install up to two disc golf courses in the City; one at Sunset Park and another at Larry Gouthro Park.

Powell River’s Canada Day celebration on July 1, with its Canada 150 theme, will provide a variety of fun and ceremony for the whole community.
“It’s a really big family event,” said Neil Pukesh, City of Powell River Manager of Recreation. “We want families to come out and celebrate Canada Day 150 on July 1.”
This year, Canada Day will be held on a Saturday, and will be celebrated at Willingdon Beach.
