Media Release - City has new interim Chief Financial Officer


Debra Oakman, CPA, CMA, a former Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), GM Corporate Services and Manager of Financial Services on Vancouver Island, will be serving as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the City of Powell River.
 
With the retirement of Kathleen Day, the City’s CFO, at the end of January, Oakman has stepped in to complete the City’s budgetary process for 2018.

Media Release - City Now Part of Recycle BC Program

Beginning in February 2018, the City of Powell River will be joining Recycle BC’s residential packaging and printed paper recycling program. The City will receive incentives to continue to collect recycling material, including packaging and printed paper from Powell River residents.
